I get this is a universally-loved novel, but I couldn't finish it as I found the rape scene horribly graphic and, as a rape survivor myself, incredibly triggering. I apologise if this is a spoiler for anyone (though it does happen relatively early on in the book), but it should come with a trigger warning. I would recommend survivors of any kind of sexual abuse steer clear. ...more
