4 stars. This, while not my favorite, was still a really good read. I thought the beginning was great, around the middle it got really muddled and weird (even for the series standard) but then pulls it all together in the end.

I can't make up my mind about this book. I liked all of the Stephen King parts of it - it's meta and I didn't think I would like it as much as I did. He's in the book organically. I also liked the male protagonists' stories, even though there wasn't much for Father Callahan and Jake to do.
But I loathed Susannah/Mia's pregnancy story. I get she's the only woman protagonist but she really didn't need to be the vessel for whatever this Mordred person turns out to be. It's also extremely creepy and ...more
