Good book & story
The Audiobook was nice that it had more than one narrator easier to keep all the different letters separated in my head.
I am rounding it up from 4.5 stars

I reread this novel in time for the release of the film adaptation and am so pleased I did! This is such a charming and witty story. If you need something quick and easy to read, or a palette cleanser after a heavy book, definitely pick this one up.

I have had The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer in my possession since 2009. A lady I had met while attending the Maccabiah Games in Israel left it for me at the front desk. Unfortunately, she checked out before I could thank her and upon my arrival back home, the book got lost on the slopes of Mt. TBR in my basement. Fortunately for me, I found it just a few days ago.

I've had this book for years, and because I don't really care for books written in the form of letters, I just kept skipping past it. I finally picked it up and couldn't have enjoyed it more. It begins in London, in January 1946, just as London is emerging from the Second World War. Author Juliet Ashton is looking for her next book subject and can't find anything of interest to write about. One day, out of the blue, she receives a letter from Dawsey Adams, a man she's never met, who has come acr

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience with this book. I had the pleasure of listening to the audio version which created the feeling of sitting in a cozy armchair while each of these charming people read their letters to me personally. It added so much to the story. I’m sure that I would have enjoyed actually reading it, but the audio experience will be unforgettable for me.

I read this book when it first came out and loved it. This second read was just as good. So many details from the stories people recounted of the German occupation came to life. They pointed out so much about the characters telling the tales. Yet at the same time the current lives of the characters were fun, sweet and real.
