I wasn't blown away by this one. It was kinda predictable. I really enjoyed the first part of the book but the second not so much. I liked the way it was written (by letters) but at the same time we didn't connect that much with the different characters. The audiobook was pretty good since it was a full cast audiobook.

Gosh, that was beautiful! So witty, I loved the humorous tone of it and still it dealt so earnestly, so honestly with the trauma of World War II. Still such warmth and beauty in all of the mess. And the characters are truly endearing. I'm in awe of the skill of the author. One of my favorites for sure!
