I am completely baffled by the appeal of this book. There was nothing I liked about it.
I really did not expect to like this book too much when I started reading it -- too much war, too many male figures, too few females, etc. But in the end I liked it, especially the end.
I'd never have guessed I would like this book as much as I do. Sure, I like my dystopian storylines about children or teens trying to save the world, but I don't like too much violence, military aspects or cruelty. Of all of those there's more then enough to be found in Enders Game. But in this book it was fitting, somehow. I'm reluctant on reading any of the sequels, since I loved this one.
