This is listed with romance, but it is really a tale of Italian immigrants who have a love of family and work together to build a better life.I loved this book! I laughed, I cried, I got angry, I cheered!!!! From the Italian Alps to New York/New Jersey to Minnesota, Adriana Trigiani had me hooked from the first page.

I'm currently obsessed with genealogy and love that the author took what she learned of her ancesters to write this novel. The characters feel so real. I laughed and cried while reading this book. I would love to read this over and over.

Great book even though it made me weep in public! There were several times I thought joy, the book could end now, but it kept getting more intense.
