Took a bit for me to finish this book. I didn’t find it as compelling as other titles by Gregory. I did enjoy learning the story of Jaquetta and the beginnings of the War of the Roses. The book was well written, but just missed something. I know that documentation of women from the Medieval time period is scarce, it it felt a lot of information in this novel was surmised rather than based on actual facts. Could be just the way I read it.
