Matched was another good dystopian read. I found the story interesting and really enjoyed reading it. I didn't really care all that much for the main character, Cassia. Some of her actions/choices just frustrated me. Hopefully I'll like her and the guy she chose more in the next book, Crossed.
Overall, though, I really liked this book and recommend it to fans of dystopian reads. :)

This was a 4.5star read for me. If you don't like Dystopian or aren't sure this may not be the book for you. It is a poignant coming of age story in a beautifully structured world where your every action is monitored. Of course there is the requisite triangle, but it makes sense here and I was thankful that I didn't have a kill them all for stupidity moment.

I read the book years ago and didn't like it too much, but still planned on continuing with the series. I still hadn't read the other books, and since it's been such a long time decided to refresh myself on the series. I'm glad I did as I enjoyed the book a lot more this time around.

Good enough that I want to read the rest of the trilogy, but not quite as compelling as some other YA dystopias I've read

I love the quote on the back from Family Circle's review: "If you like a ton of romance with your totalitarian government, this book is for you!" So appropriate. It's like a cross between The Hunger Games and 1984. Yes...1984. I read classics. No really, I do...
I'm very glad I had the sequel handy. I have a feeling that this would be one of those books that would drive me crazy if I had to wait for the next book in the series. ...more

I was hopeful this would be an enjoyable read, but I was bored for most of it. I didn't like Cassia's behavior, so I couldn't connect with her. The world the story takes place in was interesting, so I might continue with the series...not sure. This isn't a book I'd recommend.
