This is the one book I turn to when I have nothing new in the house to read. I absolutely love it-and that has not diminished despite having read it many, many times.

I love this book! Mr. Bennet is one of my favourite characters, I love his wit, wisdom and charm. Even though he is severe on his two youngest children, he is right; they are incredibly silly for their age and immature, and shouldn't be out in public for they can easily fall prey to a scandal.

I love Elisabeth's headstrong demeanor as well as her love for her family. When she finds out her sister has come down with a cold she rushes to her sisters side by crossing a 50 miles of land to reach her

I can't believe I put off reading this for so long.

Thank you, Suzy, for asking me to read this with you. If it were not for you, this would still be sitting on my shelf, unread.

It took me quite some time to get through this book. Not because I found it hard to get into but because I couldn't focus on this book when I had other distractions around, and I always seem to have other distractions around. Once I switched to the audio book (reader is amazing), it allowed me to focus all of my attention

...and so begins the masterpiece that continues to amuse and delight! Love, scandal, outrage and uncommonly silly sisters are all mixed up into a classic book I've finally read all the way through! I studied this briefly at school, but managed not to read the whole thing (a commitment I carried through most of my education of only doing the bare minimum...).
