I really enjoy reading Elizabeth Berg's books but this one fell flat for me. This is the story of three sisters living in Chicago during WWII but it seemed to be just their daily routines with no real depth or development. My favorite sister, Kitty, is very headstrong and goes to work in a factory but very little details about her job there. Yes, it talks a little about the men who work at the factory and how they didn't really care for the women, but that was the end of that segment. What about
