3 stars from me. There is quite a bit of humor in this thriller, something I'm not used to in the genre, and which I didn't find particularly in keeping with the serious nature of the plot. I found it to be a bit over-the-top with witty banter in the beginning but it, fortunately, leveled off and was just peppered near the end.

Really good mystery with an amazing cast of characters. I think I liked everybody but Grace. The book didn't get 5 stars because I figured out the murderer from the beginning. :)
The narrator was really good. At first I wasn't sure I was going to like him (he has a bit of a gravely voice) but once the book got underway, I realized he was a great choice. More than 80% of the characters in the book are male and he did an awesome job with the different voices.

Wow I didn't even realize this was the first book in the series. I really liked it and will definitely be continuing the series. Grace MacBride was a great character even with all her foibles but now that (view spoiler) it should be interesting to see where the series heads.

Absolutely loved this book. Great characters and a good storyline. Very easy to read. I did kind of work out part of the ending, but it was very well done.

Audio book performed by Buck Shirner.
