Now I know why I have started this book several times over the past few years and then put it back on the shelf: tedious, too many story lines happening, rather depressing. You know what will happen with Natalie and Tom, but the author tried to "balance" the story with Patrick/Lucy and Nicholas/Anna. There was just too much going on and it wasn't all that appealing to me during the Great Quarantine of 2020.

I liked this book, just not all the way to a fourth star. It was not mediocre at all, just not a favorite. I am stingy with my fifth stars.
