Likes:
- Engaging, imperfect characters. I saw so much of everyone I've ever loved in Levin's idiosyncracies, contradictions, and passionate ideals.
- Beautiful, short vignettes that captured the essence and themes of the novel - I loved the part from the point of view of the hunting dog
- The rich, heavy existentialist musings that I love about Russian literature
(- In my edition, the footnotes from the translator where exceptionally helpful and made for a much better reaching experience)
