Wow! Just wow! When I began the audiobook, it was confusing because it begins well after CeeCee goes down the path that she choose. However, once I got the timeline down, the story took off!!!

CeeCee Wilkes is an orphaned and very lonely 16-year-old; she is working hard to better herself but gets mixed up with a really bad guy who is looking for her vulnerability. Good read; not sure how I really feel about the story overall. There was a lot of "wrong" that seemed to be swept aside with a few thoughts of how "I'm not the same person I was then". Nobody is. The "Ken" story line really irked me, as did a lot of Cory's behaviour and thoughts. Eve's rationalizations throughout her life that she had no choice and her lack of empathy for those left after her initial crime bothered me.
