Truly, Madly by Heather Webber is the 1st book in the Lucy Valentine Mystery series. Lucy Valentine's father runs a successful matchmaking business with his ability to see auras and to match couples. Lucy's talent is in finding lost inanimate objects and when she is put in charge of the family business, she sees a lost ring on the body of a skeleton and is compelled to investigate further. I really liked this story. Lucy Valentine does not know what to do with her life. She had tried many different jobs. Her family has a matchmaking business. All of the Valentines can see peoples auras and find their matches. But Lucy can't. She can find lost things, but not lost people. Her dad got caught with another woman and is going into hiding for 2 weeks in St. Lucia. He wants Lucy to take care of the business. She doesn't want to but she gives in.

I chose this for the color of the cover. It's not my type of book at all. I mean, it's a romance first and foremost, and I don't particularly like romances. It did not help that I thought the main character's silly reluctance about getting involved with the hot hunk in her life just that, silly. Life is too short, lady. Just get on with it already.
