I really love these quirky romances by Janet Evanovich and assorted co-writers. They are cute with hottie guys, ditzy (but hilarious) heroines and screwy circumstances. Who could ask for more in a funny romance.
Kate Appleton has returned to her childhood vacation home with the hopes of renovating the cottage into a Bed and Breakfast. Unfortunately her parents have allowed the mortgage to go into arrears (is that the correct term?) and now someone has purchased the property and is trying to evict ...more

#1 in the Culhane Family romance series
As always with an Evanovich book, this was fun, with entertaining characters, and a lighthearted romance. Matt has been facing some annoying vandalism issues lately, so when Kate shows up looking for a job, he figures the fact that she's an outsider will help her discover something about his problems. Kate, on the other hand, is just trying to get ahead so she can get her family's old home on the lake into shape so she can open a B&B. Unfortunately, neither ...more

And then there's my favorite, "You never gave up in 8th grade when Mary Lou refused to go to Junior Prom with you. That doesn't even make sense! Eighth graders don't go to Junior Prom! I can't wait to finish, which I'm only doing bec

This is what you would expect from Janet Evanovich...a lighthearted, easy going love story with a twinge of mystery. I found it to be a relaxing book to listen to while I drove to and from work.

Kate and Matt made a cute couple and I like that they were friends first and even managed to be honest with each other about big things that the other really needed to know instead of keeping it secret and hoping for the best. Matt's extended family was a blast and the dogs were awesome. All in all a sweet romance (no sex if that matters to you).
