Honestly, I didn't think Stephen King was capable of writing a book with such depth and heart. I admit that for a while some 2/3 of the way through reading the book, I was so desperate for the book to be over and I was ready to walk away (which is why I gave 4 stars in stead of 5) but I am glad I didn't. I would definitely recommend this book.

This book has been recommended to me SO many times over the last couple of years, but for some reason, I have only now finally read it. I don't WHY it took me so long! I love alternative history. I love time travel. I just knew it was a really big book. Even then, I'm unsure why that would daunt me. I used to love reading long books.

This is a book for people who love time travel, who like to reminisce about the good ol' days of the late 50's and 60's, and who enjoy King's style of storytelling. But most of all, this book is for those who love an incredible love story. 11/22/63 is not your typical Stephen King horror story. It is at times dark, as most of King's books are, but it is often bouyantly light and even joyful. I loved this book so much. I listened to the audiobook read by Craig Wasson, and he was amazing.
