What Members Thought

This is probably one of the strangest books I've ever read. It ran the gamut from humorous to horrifying, but not in the ways I expected it to. While I would classify it as horror, it isn't really the type to have you on the edge of your seat, biting your nails while wide eyed. The most frightening parts aren't at all supernatural, but the human, in my opinion. This certainly isn't the book for anyone with a weak stomach, or anyone easily offended or triggered by violence.

A slow burning book that improved substantially about halfway through. I actually found myself being pretty fed up with this one about a third of the way through - it seemed like it was more a story about a couple of teenagers falling in love rather than the horror I was expecting. Though, of course I understand the importance of this element of the story, it just wasn't really what I was expecting.
Really a large part of this story is a murder mystery - more like a thriller.
