This book was so different than anything I've read before. I wasn't sure how I'd like it but surprisingly, I loved it! I am now excited to see the movie. My only complaint about this book is the fact that after Merrin's murder EVERYBODY had no problem believing Ig was the one to kill her. Even his own family with the exception of his brother. Good book, addictive read. I enjoyed every part about the story, hated the flashbacks because some of them were SO boring and long when I wanted to read about catching the killer. The story was sad overal ...more

I really liked Heart-Shaped Box but this book wasn't quite up to that quality of writing. I'm not giving up on Joe Hill and will definitely be checking out his future efforts.
