The only character I truly liked was the apple tree. At various points I would have loved for it to swat the rest of the characters with some strong branches. It's not enough to pelt them with apples. I wish I'd liked this, but really, for all the mystery the Waverleys are supposed to exude, they had cardboard personalities. The story revolves around two sisters, conservative Claire Waverley and her younger, wilder sister Sydney. Claire lives alone in a beautiful Queen Ann style house that has been in the family for generations.
