I thought this was a very good book. I really enjoyed reading it. I loved the characters and plot of the story. Once I got started reading I could not put the book down. I had to keep on reading until the end. I like how Sarah Addison Allen would not just stay with one character point of view, but she jumps around to different characters so they could tell their side of the story and that side will add to the plot and make it flow.

Sweet story, but there was things I couldn't get behind.
What I liked:
* Bay was my favorite character. For a little girl, she seemed very sure of things.
* I like how the power manifested differently for everyone in the family. There were some interesting ideas there.
What could have been better:
* I couldn't connect with Claire, nor did I really learn much about Tyler.
* As I said above, I don't understand the purpose of the apple tree or why it would throw fruit.
* I also don't get why families have ...more
