I don't know why I keep picking up Kristin Hannah books; they're soap operas. Nothing new in this one folks.

And what is up with her tormented view that all teenage girls are biatches and being a mother of one means you have to take dirt and swallow and accept mean behavior?? Again, in this book, as in Home Front , the teenage daughter is surly, rude, without a likeable quality in her entire being.

(note to self: actually read it earlier this year but forgot to mark it)

Per my note, its been a while so I forget the exact story (not book's fault, my memory is faulty) but in re-reading the first part today, I remember that it was a good one and I would have happily re-read to the end had I not a huge stack of other books to read right now.
