A Kiss at Midnight is a cinderella like story of Henry and Kate. Katherine, who pretends to be her stepsister to met the prince to be able to wed one of the high lord but sickness got in the way. I like this cinderella like version with no evil stepsister but with responsibilities and titles that comes their way. The hot scenes are so good! The way Henry came back and forth to Kate and the ball with his soon to be wife. Lov3d how supportive the characters are.

Okay at first I thought I would never get through this book. It was so slow to start but after about a third of the book I started getting into it and the characters. I wanted to see the Prince get his love and all the other couples. I love Henry the godmother who is a real character and I really liked Kate. The story line got better as the book proceeded and in the end I ended up really enjoying the book and glad I read it.

This book was charming, fun and unexpectedly hilarious at all the right times. The characters were rich and distinctive and the story was a wonderful rendition of Cinderella. I loved it all... and that last line of the epilogue was the best one I've seen in a long while; I'm still laughing. I adore this book and will likely be revisiting it.

This Cinderella retelling was okay. When Kate Daltry's father died, her step-mother treated her like a servant in favor of her own daughter. A twist with this story - Kate has to impersonate her step-sister due to a swollen lip, and meet a prince. Of course, the prince falls for Kate, but she's not having it. Until she is. 3.5 stars.
