Einer der schönsten Klassiker, die es gibt. Nachdem ich zwei Verfilmungen gesehen (und geliebt) habe, wollte ich auch endlich das Buch lesen. Die Seelenverwandschaft zwischen Jane und Mr Rochester ist wunderschön und episch und hat mich tief berührt. Auch Janes Lebensgeschichte und ihre abenteuerliche Reise von dem grässlichen Internat bis hin zu St. John Rivers fand ich sehr spannend und wunderschön geschrieben.

This book took quite a while to really go anywhere. 10 chapters I believe spent on mundane childhood things that I still don't see what they had to do with the story. Honestly this entire story could easily have been shared in under 200 pages. How much men in this ramble!! I often wish mine spoke more but not this much. And suck strange references to things as well. Mr Rochester in particular often goes seems to speak of things outside of reality. Is he a bit crazy or just doesn't know how ot be

I've read reviews and comments in which people expressed how they hated Jane and the book when the first read it but loved it now as adults. but Jane Eyre was my favorite classic as a child, maybe because I read an abridged version and not the full one. But having read the unabridged as a teenager I still love it.
