The air of mystery in this book help moved it along for me. It wasn’t a straight forward romance that dragged on. The story did a good job taking us on a journey of Jane Eyre’s life, from childhood through adulthood. Her upbringing defined her character and for a young woman of those times she could be very determined, independent and strong.
