Wow. I had no idea what to expect from this classic book. A very enjoyable read. A story about an orphaned girl who had a tough life but learned to follow in the Lord's ways found out that she was not as bad off as she thought she was. It was surprising to me about how much Christianity was spoken of and shown in the story. This is definitely a wonderful classic book that I truly enjoyed and would recommend to others. ...more

The beginning was slow, the middle was boring (including the supposed romantic part) and the end was horrifying(not in a good way). I gave it 2 stars because at least I had no idea where this story was going or how it was going to end.
