This book disproves the idea that it is hard to get a book published. It is published and it is absolutely ghastly. What a waste of time!
The only good thing that I can saw about wasting the day reading it was that it was supposed to be snowing, so there wasn't much else to do. The kids were home watching movies or using the computer and all their activities were cancelled because of the snow. This is a book to read either on a snow day or a beach day, and only then if you don't expect much. I wo ...more

This book was really interesting but I got turned off by the characters' frequent use of a curse word that insults my faith. I can tolerate some cussing, but this was a dealbreaker for me.

I am never dissapointed with Elin Hilderbrand. I always get so involved with the characters that I am sad to see the book end. I love the Nantucket setting of all her books, and I enjoy the chance to follow the people who live there full time. I often have wondered what it would be like to live in a resort area, and these books answer that question.
