I struggled with this one at first. I started it, and quickly found myself confused with the dozen-plus names being thrown at me in the first chapter. I was also unfamiliar with Marine rank, so I had a hard time figuring out who was in charge of who and how the company was structured. I put it aside, as it wasn't holding my interest.

This was a truly truly emotional story. I was emotionally affected both good and bad by this book and think that the telling of Matterhorn was amazing. I loved the characters and the story and Think that if you are sitting home today with nothing to do you should definitely dive into this read. It is not lighthearted and probably not a great beach read but it is a classic and one I will definitely read again.
