5 stars. A grumpy old man. A no-nonsense pregnant woman and her dorky husband. Two adorable little kids. And a cat that just won't go away. Seriously, this cast of characters are all so charming and lovable. I literally hugged my kindle to me like a weirdo when I was finished reading it. I didn't want to say goodbye to them.

I'm just going to proclaim it now even though I've only read two of his books

Ove seems like a bitter curmudgeon, stuck in a routine existence, inflexible and angry. This book was so much more than I expected!
It was just so hilarious most of the times, but still had some deeper parts. It is definitly more than just a funny little story.
And I think that Ove might be one of my most loved characters of all times! He is just the best (and I often had to agree with him) and I wish he would be my neighbour.
