My favorite book from Jane Austen and probably the most underrated.
This, I think, is by far her most tender love story and Anne Elliot ist her most compelling heroine. She may not be as witty and clever as Lizzie Bennett, but she has such a tender heart and a properness and such a beautiful inside world and her thoughts and feelings are so rich and gorgeous, especially compared to her bleak outer world and her terrible terrible family.

First I would like to give Props where they are due: Public Bookshelf offered me the chance to read this book for free online with no download. Check it out there are quite a few books on there, no cost, no download, and when they won't let you have an e-reader at work it is a good way to still be able to read some of your favorites..

3.5 stars: The first third of the book bored me, but once I pushed through that part, I really enjoyed the rest.
