Sehr unterhaltsam, informativ und lehrreich. Einige Sagen und Mythen kannte ich schon, aber der ganz große Überblick hat mir ein wenig gefehlt, wer wann wie was mit wem zusammen hängt. Die Lektüre ist so gemütlich erzählt, dass man sich ein wenig so fühlt als ob man mit Stephen Fry am Kamin sitzt und sich bei einer heißen Tasse Tee griechische Sagen erzählen lässt. Perfekte Lektüre für triste Wintertage.
Kann ich wirklich jedem empfehlen!

This is a book I devoured in small pieces. Which has nothing to do with how entertaining the book is or how well it is written, but with me. I prefer to read some stories , then go back to another book, and come back for a few more. This meant it took me months to finish. Which was great, like having a special box of chocolates of which you can have one occasionally. I knew a lot of the stories beforehand but loved reading the background of the sorties, modern comparisons and such. Highly recomm ...more

This was wonderful.

Absolutely fascinating retelling of the Greek myths and I learned so much!

I listened to the audiobook version narrated by Stephen Fry himself and it was truly excellent.
