In the year 2024 I want to try and read more non-fiction. I saw that the library through the Libby app I saw I can read Carmen Maria Machado's memoir, nd decided to pick it up.

This is a fascinatingly written memoir of an abusive relationship, told in short prose poems reflecting many different facets. It makes the arc of the story hard to follow, but I think that's deliberate. The story of abuse doesn't make sense and looking back it's hard to remember why this made sense from the inside.
