Force of Nature
follows Aaron Falk, as he tries to find a missing woman. Alice Russell was last seen on a company retreat, hiking through the Giralang Range with four of her female colleagues. But somewhere along the way, the women lose the trail and the group eventually find their way to the meet-up point without Alice. Aaron and his partner Carmen have a keen interest in finding Alice, as she was working with the Federal Police as a whistleblower, and was set to bring her employers down.

I enjoyed Falk's investigations as usual, and I'm glad for him personally as he seems to have made strides in coming to terms with his relationship with his father. But I also did not care for the mystery itself. I didn't want it to go where it did. Harper writes well and as such I can read anything she writes, and this one is not quite as bad as The Survivors, but I expected better than (view spoiler).
