Interesting thriller that kept my attention during most part. The setting and the story are gothic: mansion, dark, closed group. It reminded me of some A. Christie novels too.
I liked the plot and found it an easy read. More a 3,5 stars

Obviously I didn't learn my lesson with the last Ruth Ware book I read (In a Dark, Dark Wood) because I didn't enjoy this one either. What I did enjoy about this book was the tarot element. Hal is a tarot reader and she very much clings to the ideals and morals, if you will, of the deck and repeats them to herself throughout the book as guidance. I don't have a lot of personal experience in my own life with tarot decks and readings but I do find it extremely interesting and I think that did give
