What Members Thought
I really enjoyed this one. It looks like a lot of people thought it was a slow start to the series, but I liked the slow build up, and I loved all the mythology. I hear the series just gets better and better, so I'm excited to see what happens next!

Two days after I've finished it, I can't remember what I really liked about the book. I can't also remember what I disliked about it, so it's not a total loss. But it's unremarkable. I read it quickly, and Gen is a fun character. He's unreliable as a narrator, but he's also sly and it's easy to see where he's going. That's not a bad thing, either, only it made the book even more flat. I'll read the next in the series, but I'm not hoping for it to be a favorite.
