I really enjoyed this one. It looks like a lot of people thought it was a slow start to the series, but I liked the slow build up, and I loved all the mythology. I hear the series just gets better and better, so I'm excited to see what happens next!

I really enjoyed this little fantasy adventure! Some may find this one to be a little on the slow side but honestly, when there's decent character and world building happening, I really don't mind a slow plot! It's clear that this is almost a prequel, setting us up for a proper epic fantasy adventure over the following books. We are introduced to a new world, new characters and even a fascinating new religion.
