There isn't enough stars available for me to give this book, it it beyond 5 stars. So beyond 5 stars.

The Hate U Give,
is real,
it is truth,
no lies told.
Powerful,

Breathtaking! I loved everything about it. This has become one of my favorite novels ever and will probably be my favorite book of 2018. I can't wait for more Angie Thomas novels.

Re-Read (January 2021): 5 stars
This book still hits! So many complex topics and issues discussed and I’m simply amazed.

“ That's the problem. We let people say stuff, and they say it so much that it becomes okay to them and normal for us. What's the point of having a voice if you're gonna be silent in those moments you shouldn't be?”

Wow. I’ve had this book on my list for too long and I’m so glad I grabbed it last week. I ended up devouring it in less than 24 hours. I cried, I laughed, I cried more and it completely took me on a wave of mixed emotions. The characters, their voices and the storytelling were all inc

Great voice, timely book. Was a bit too by-the-numbers, but still an affecting and fresh book.

A LOT of swearing, much more than I care to skim over, but this was good & very thought provoking.
