There isn't enough stars available for me to give this book, it it beyond 5 stars. So beyond 5 stars.
The Hate U Give,
is real,
it is truth,
no lies told.
Powerful,
meaningful,
inspiring.
Heartbreaking,
anger/rage inducing.
It is 2018, and it disgusts me that we live in world where this book is life for some, for many. Fucking police brutality, systematic racism has to stop. What makes someone think that their white skin makes them any better then some with brown or black? It doesn't. We live in ...more

Such an amazing & relevant novel. I loved Starr & her family.

Breathtaking! I loved everything about it. This has become one of my favorite novels ever and will probably be my favorite book of 2018. I can't wait for more Angie Thomas novels.

Wow! What a book one of the best books I read.
I hate it because of the hype I decided to let the hype to withdraw a little bit and then read it, but I watched the trailer and absolutely loved it and said that I need to read it before I will watch the movie.
The writing is fantastic, the story is fantastic, I absolutely know that is a book that I will suggest the book to everyone that loves to read no matter what age they are.

2018 Popsugar Challenge Prompt #14: A book by an author of a different ethnicity than you

“ That's the problem. We let people say stuff, and they say it so much that it becomes okay to them and normal for us. What's the point of having a voice if you're gonna be silent in those moments you shouldn't be?”
Wow. I’ve had this book on my list for too long and I’m so glad I grabbed it last week. I ended up devouring it in less than 24 hours. I cried, I laughed, I cried more and it completely took me on a wave of mixed emotions. The characters, their voices and the storytelling were all inc ...more

Great voice, timely book. Was a bit too by-the-numbers, but still an affecting and fresh book.

4.5*
A LOT of swearing, much more than I care to skim over, but this was good & very thought provoking.
