There are a million books about family reunions on the islands. This one piqued my interest because I'm married to an identical twin, but I didn't expect anything special. Boy was I surprised! This book is tough to describe but suffice it to say you'll find yourself alternating between choking back a tear and yelling at the characters. I really liked it and every single one of her books has been added to my wish list, I can't wait to tackle another! ...more

Beach read, escapism, chick lit. Whatever you want to call it, Elin Hilderbrand writes romantic family struggle books that allows me to find a breather from the thrillers, historical fiction, and nonfiction I usually gravitate toward. Her books are fast-paced, detailed, with finely-drawn characters.
