I'm glad that this series has gotten back a little bit towards more personal (about Charley and Reyes) and less about the various gods and demons, etc. (although there's still quite a bit of that). But this book picks up where the last one ended, with Reyes coming back from the hell dimension, but he's a changed man, a malevolent god rather than the man Charley loves. I loved every second of this book. As usual Charley had me laughing and constantly rooting for her to win, win, win, no matter the cost. Reyes was still sexy not matter the name.
The story had me on the edge of my seat from the very beginning, until the final act that almost had me in tears.
