DNF at about 15%. I can't even believe I wanted to give this book a chance after how bad the first one in the series was. Maybe I was hoping I'll start understanding all the great reviews the series is getting..well, I still don't understand them.

What a fun listen! Charlotte "Charley" Davidson is a private investigator who is also the Grim Reaper. The author's take of the Grim Reaper is interesting: instead of the menacing character coming up behind unsuspecting victims, this version is the portal that souls must go through when they are ready or attempting to leave this world. I'm a tad bit disappointed in this book. It's not even close to being as good as the first one was. Charley is supposed to be a PI, so let her PI and stop the incessant search for Reyes. I understand he's a part of the story, but it seems like the whole story was centered on finding him and the missing woman was just a backstory.
