3.5 stars. It's been 3 years since I read the last book. I have struggle with the lack of black and white morality in these books. Cassel is a decent, if not strong and honest guy. I hate all the lies and con games.
So why am I still reading the last book in the series. It is such a novel world of magic wielders and gangsters. And I like Cassel and I want him to get the girl and unlike Barron, Cassel won't take advantage of Lila's created love for him.

I've listened to the first two book in this series and loved them, but this one kind of feel flat for me. Maybe I just wasn't in the right frame of mind for this particular book. Overall, loved the series.
