A fantastic YA read. Categorised as dystopic, but I would be more inclined to place it as post-apocalyptic. If I had to compare it to others in the genre, I would pick 'The Uglies' (Westerfeld) for how it creates a technological wonderland that is integrated seamlessly into the lives of the characters being represented, especially in contrast to those outside the reach of these "advantages" and also 'Pure' (Baggott) for the clever world building and stark environmental landscape.

This had a bit of a slow start, but once I got to between 20 and 30 percent, I really started to enjoy the story. It also took me about that long to really warm up to Aria, although I liked Perry right away. I think Rossi did a good job of developing their relationship in a way that was believable, given that they started out hating each other. I enjoyed the latter part of this book enough that I will be reading the next one!
