What Members Thought

I thought this was better than the last Amos Decker book. Some of it was predictable, but there was some other stuff that threw me (but in a good way).

I loved the first Amos Decker book so I was really looking forward to getting to the second one. And I was not disappointed. I love his character- quirky as he may be! This one kept me intrigued from the beginning, and to be honest near the end I was completely clueless as to how the case was going to end up. A great installment that has me eager to read #3!

So glad that Amos Decker was a former police detective as well as a former football player with Ohio State.

I didn't like the first book in the series so much, but I did really like this one. Except for the insinuation that everyone in the south is/ always has been racist. Are there racists out there? Of course. But painting it like all of the south is racist is very frustrating and annoying to read. I hate having political propaganda shoved down my throat when all I want is a good mystery.

Does what it says on the tin. Solves a mystery, puts Decker on a diet, and gives him a friend who can bond with him over having your entire family murdered.
