I fell in love with the books of Blake Crouch when I first read Dark Matter and then Recursion. However, I haven't read any of Blake Crouch's older books until now. Pines was amazing and I'm so glad I've already got a 5 star book read this year. It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time I read it and the big reveal was mind-blowing. This is not my usual genre and my first book by Blake Crouch. When I started it, I wasn't enamored by i, but felt, I had to give it a chance. Then it really started getting me intrigued and pulling me into the story. But somewhere in the last half, I felt lost and bored. It seemed to jump around and the thoughts seemed incomplete.
