A family drama about siblings who have become obsessed with the mid-life inheritance they have always assumed they were getting. When the eldest makes a colossal mistake their mother takes "the nest" and spends most of it to bail him out. Forced to confront the loss of all their money the siblings become super whiney. Luckily, they do grow up a bit towards the end. I didn't enjoyed it, but it was less terrible than I had feared it would be.

Picked this up in Grand Central Station on my way home from a long and boring day at jury duty in lower Manhattan where I finished the book I was reading and thought I was going to have two weeks of boring days yet ahead of me! (Fortunately I only had one more boring day and I was dismissed!).

This did not turn out to be what I thought it would be and I'm sorry I didn't read it sooner. Great characterization, lovely storyline. I highly recommend.

This was an easy read about a set of siblings in their forties learning to overcome their incredible entitlement and/or self-absorption. I enjoyed it enough for it to keep my attention, though for some reason just could not reconcile them all being in their forties! Perhaps it's because they all behaved like children, but I basically had a Gossip Girl-esque set in my head and struggled to rid myself of it.
