Only recently have I started to consciously search for this author's books. Of course, I knew about him before, even read a book by him many years ago. But it was only recently that I appreciated how great stories he can tell. And this book is a good example of that.

I picked this one up off my shelf where it's been sitting for quite a few years. I didn't really know what to expect, but it sure wasn't Amos Decker! I actually really liked him. He's a really complicated character, and I was really intrigued by how his brain works … the connections he could make with his internal DVR. I found all of that to be fascinating - and terrifying!
