I'm so glad I read this book. I learned so much about the history of Ghana, the different people that live there, and what challenges they faced from the British and from themselves. The story is told from the perspective of 8 generations, from a woman named Maame who had two daughters, one born of rape, and the other born of marriage, and how those daughters never met each other.
