This book reads like a Lifetime movie. (Not as Sacchrine as a Hallmark movie, a bit more bite but just as predictable.) But, an ENJOYABLE one, nonetheless. The chapters from the dog’s perspective were actually quite lovely, but every time we switched to the human protagonist I felt my eyes rolling so far back into my head I could see my own damn cerebellum.
Which is frustrating. The author can clearly write well, but chose not to for 50% of the book. (And the narrators of th ...more
