The audio production of this book was excellent. The narrator did an amazing job with the different voices, especially the voice of the young Kitty (almost 14). In a town of women, life seems to be on pause as they await news from the front or another bombing raid. Then they decide to have a Ladies' Choir and they find out women can do all kinds of things from being pallbearers, to rescuing babies, and blackmail.
