Book on CD read by Sandra Burr

Like she did for death and digestion, Roach educates and entertains in her third book, this time focusing on sex. She recounts various studies, from Kinsey and Masters & Johnson, to those that are known mostly only in scientific or medical journals, and “sacrificed” by agreeing to participate in more than one procedure designed to investigate the most intimate of acts.

Yes, this is a book about sex. No, it is not porn, erotica or even a how-to guide. This is an interesting look at how science has learnt about and therefore affected and improved human sexual experience. Thinking I knew all there was to know about sex but intrigued with the premise I read it anyway, and found every chapter held at least one surprise for me. The writing is engaging and often funny.
